How To Choose The Right Button Indicator According To The Working Environment Of The Equipment (such As High Temperature, Humidity, Strong Electromagnetic Interference)?

High temperature environment
In high temperature environment, button indicator lights made of ordinary materials are prone to material deformation and electronic component failure. Therefore, it is key to choose indicator lights made of high temperature resistant materials. The indicator housing can be made of high temperature resistant engineering plastics, such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK). This material has excellent heat resistance and can be used for a long time at a high temperature of 260°C. It is not easy to deform or release harmful substances. The internal electronic components should use high temperature resistant models, such as high temperature resistant LED chips, which have a wider operating temperature range and can maintain stable light emission in high temperature environments. At the same time, heat dissipation design should not be ignored. It is preferred to choose indicator lights with heat sinks or hollow designs to speed up heat dissipation and avoid damage to internal components due to excessive temperature.

Humid environment
Humid environments can easily cause button indicator lights to get damp, leading to short circuits, corrosion and other faults. At this time, the protection level is an important indicator for selecting indicator lights. You should choose an indicator light with a protection level of IP65 or above. IP65 means that the indicator light is completely protected from foreign objects and water jets, and can effectively resist water vapor and water droplets in a humid environment. The outer shell of the indicator light must have good sealing properties, usually using sealing structures such as silicone sealing rings to ensure that external water vapor cannot enter the interior. In addition, the internal circuit can be potted, and the circuit can be completely wrapped with waterproof potting glue to further enhance the waterproof and moisture-proof capabilities and avoid circuit damage due to moisture.

Strong electromagnetic interference environment
Strong electromagnetic interference may cause the button indicator light to light up, flicker, or not light up. To cope with this environment, the indicator light must have good electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Choose an indicator light with a metal shielding shell. The metal shell can effectively shield external electromagnetic interference and reduce the impact of electromagnetic signals on the internal circuit of the indicator light. Anti-interference measures should be adopted in the internal circuit design, such as adding a filter circuit to filter out interference signals and ensure stable operation of the indicator light. At the same time, try to choose products that have passed relevant electromagnetic compatibility certification (such as EMC testing in CE certification). These products have undergone rigorous electromagnetic interference testing during the design and production process and can better adapt to strong electromagnetic interference environments.
